Explore nowMedication changes the biology. The programme built around it is what makes the change hold.
Weight lost without support takes lean muscle with it, and muscle is what keeps your metabolism working. Your dietician builds a protein-first plan and your coach adds strength work, so what comes off is fat.
Treatment improves how your body handles glucose. Your care team works on what sits behind it — meal structure, sleep and daily movement — so steadier blood sugar is something you keep, not something you rent.
Feeling full sooner is the treatment working, not willpower. We build your meals around that smaller appetite — enough protein, fibre and micronutrients — so eating less never means eating badly.
The research is clear: pairing GLP-1 therapy with specialist-led support delivers better results — and results that last.
Up to 40% of unsupported GLP-1 weight loss can come from lean muscle — not fat.

Dr. Shivani Jain believes that behind every lab report is a person — someone navigating the frustration of unexplained weight gain, the emotional toll of irregular cycles, or the quiet exhaustion that metabolic imbalances bring into everyday life. That belief is at the heart of everything she does.
As a specialist in Internal Medicine with a deep focus on hormonal health and metabolic disorders, Dr. Jain brings both clinical precision and genuine compassion to her practice. She has helped hundreds of patients understand and manage conditions like PCOS, PCOD, thyroid dysfunction, insulin resistance, and other hormonal imbalances. What sets Dr. Jain apart is her empathy-led approach to care. She takes the time to listen, not just to symptoms, but to stories. She understands that conditions like PCOS don't just affect hormones; they affect confidence, relationships, fertility, and mental well-being. Her consultations feel less like a clinical transaction and more like a conversation with someone who genuinely wants to help you feel better, and stay better.
Her practice sits at the intersection of evidence-based medicine and patient-centred care, making complex hormonal science accessible and actionable for every person who walks through her door.

Our holistic programme
A doctor, registered dietician, psychologist, and lifestyle coach — all supporting you from your first dose to long-term maintenance.
Your Kare programme is led by a qualified, registered doctor with an MD in internal medicine and specialist knowledge in metabolic disorders.
Every prescription comes from a doctor who understands how your body manages weight, hormones, and metabolism at a clinical level. Your doctor is involved throughout the entire programme.
They monitor how your body responds to treatment, manage side effects before they become a problem, and adjust your plan when needed.
This happens from your first consultation all the way through to your final dose. Most weight loss services prescribe and step away. At Karespot, your doctor stays involved at every stage so you always have real medical oversight behind your care.
We don't believe in handing you a diet plan and expecting you to follow it perfectly. Instead, your registered dietician tracks what you actually eat, understands your real habits, and identifies small, practical improvements you can make every single day.
This approach is deliberate. Rigid plans are easy to abandon. Daily nudges, built around your existing lifestyle, create a healthier relationship with food that lasts long after your programme ends.
Every week, your dietician reviews your intake and refines what needs adjusting — not to judge, but to guide. Over time, these small shifts compound into lasting habits that feel natural, not forced.
Travelling and need support on the road? Your team adapts with you, wherever you are.
Weight management is as much a mental journey as a physical one. Your Kare psychologist works with you to understand the emotional patterns that drive your relationship with food. This includes stress eating, reward cycles, and the deeper habits that have made previous attempts feel harder than they should have been.
These sessions are focused and practical. Rather than open ended conversations, each session helps you identify what actually triggers your eating behaviour and gives you concrete strategies to respond differently.
The goal is real, lasting behavioural change. Not just for the weeks you are on the programme, but for how you think about food and your body going forward.
Our coaches provide personalised guidance on nutrition, activity, and daily habits to help you build the routines that outlast your medication.
Regular check-ins track your progress and side effects, connecting you directly with your prescriber when dose adjustments are needed.
Weight is rarely only physical. From your first consultation, a doctor, a dietician, a psychologist and a coach stay beside you, so the hard days have someone in them too.

For many people, weight isn't just about willpower. Genetics can play a big role in how your body stores fat and responds to diet and exercise, so lifestyle changes alone may not always deliver the results you hope for. That's why we support weight management at a deeper, biological level. With treatment alongside sustainable nutrition, movement, and habit changes, some people can achieve up to 20% weight loss over 12 months.
The Karespot Programme is a curated, doctor-guided journey designed to help patients manage side effects proactively, so they can stay consistent for longer. Alongside treatment, a dedicated health coach checks in regularly to support meal planning and daily habits. We emphasise a high-protein, nutrient-dense diet and provide sleep coaching to help improve energy, recovery, and long-term results.
Karespot helps you lose fat while staying strong. If you focus only on weight loss, you can end up losing muscle too, which slows your metabolism and makes maintenance harder. With GLP-1 support, we pair a high-protein eating approach with strength training so your results look better, feel better, and last longer.

Yes. PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) is the new name for PCOS. The condition itself has not changed — only what we call it.
The change was made in May 2026 by a global consensus published in The Lancet. The old name was inaccurate: the condition does not involve true ovarian cysts, and calling it "polycystic" made it sound purely gynaecological when it is really a hormonal and metabolic condition. Your diagnosis, tests and treatment stay exactly the same.
Because PMOS is driven largely by insulin resistance, which actively works against weight loss.
When your cells respond poorly to insulin, your body makes more of it. High insulin promotes fat storage, increases hunger, and pushes the ovaries to produce more androgens — which worsens insulin resistance again. It becomes a loop, which is why the diet and exercise that works for a friend may do very little for you.
It is not a lack of willpower. It is a metabolic headwind, and it usually needs to be addressed metabolically.
They can help with the weight and insulin resistance that drive PMOS — but it is important to be precise. In India these medicines are approved for weight management in obesity and for type 2 diabetes, not specifically for PMOS.
Because they improve insulin sensitivity and produce substantial weight loss, many women with PMOS and obesity find their cycles, androgen levels and metabolic markers improve as a result. Losing even 5–10% of body weight can restore ovulation for many women.
Whether this is right for you depends on your BMI, other conditions, and whether you are trying to conceive. That is a decision for a doctor.
Indian guidance uses lower BMI cut-offs than Western guidelines, because South Asians carry more visceral fat and develop metabolic disease at a lower weight.
The 2025 ESI obesity guidelines for India suggest anti-obesity medication, including GLP-1 receptor agonists, is considered after a structured lifestyle intervention at a BMI of around 27 or above — or from a BMI of 25 if you have a related condition such as type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, fatty liver, or sleep apnoea.
Check your BMI using Indian cut-offs, or complete the eligibility form.

Our prescribing clinicians are registered medical doctors in India, listed with the National Medical Commission and the relevant State Medical Council. Each prescriber holds at least an M.B.B.S. degree along with an M.D (Internal Medicine) and maintains professional standards through ongoing learning and clinical best practices.
Karespot clinicians take a holistic, patient-centred approach — focusing on long-term outcomes, clear communication, and a supportive doctor–patient relationship throughout the programme.
Clinical research suggests that GLP-1/GIP medicines are among the most effective prescription options currently available for weight loss. A large study of more than 2,500 participants (published in the NEJM as part of the SURMOUNT-1 trial) reported average weight loss of up to 20.9% after 72 weeks with tirzepatide 15mg therapy, compared with up to 14.9% with GLP-1–only treatment.
At Karespot, eligible patients may be prescribed either a GLP-1 medicine or a dual GLP-1/GIP medicine. The most suitable option depends on your health profile, past medical history, treatment preferences, and weight goals. This decision is made together with your Karespot doctor during the initial medical consultation.

The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, and reflux. They are usually worst in the first weeks and after each dose increase, and they typically settle with time.
This is exactly why the dose starts low and is raised slowly, and why medical supervision matters. Rarer but more serious risks, including pancreatitis and gallbladder problems, should be discussed with your doctor alongside your personal and family medical history.
Read more: side effects of Mounjaro and how to manage them.
Karespot's dose-escalation plan is designed to help your body adjust gradually, reducing the chance of side effects while supporting steady results. A typical semaglutide schedule runs: Weeks 1–4: 0.25 mg · Weeks 5–8: 0.5 mg · Weeks 9–20: 1.0 mg, increasing further as tolerated. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) follows a different schedule, starting at 2.5 mg.
Your doctor may adjust either plan based on your tolerance and goals. Our Care Team stays in touch at every step to help you manage side effects and connect you with your prescriber when needed.

Often, yes — unless the underlying habits and metabolic drivers have been addressed. We would rather tell you this honestly upfront.
Obesity is a chronic, relapsing condition. GLP-1 medicines work while you take them; when they stop, appetite signals return, and studies show a significant proportion of lost weight is regained over the following year.
This is precisely why Karespot pairs medication with dietician coaching, psychologist support, and strength-based activity — so that when the medication ends, the habits and the muscle remain. Medication alone is a weak long-term strategy.
